The best potion making games for iPhone and iPad
A good potion making game on iPhone lets you mix something by hand and see it go right or wrong. These eight do that in different ways. One is a timed class with exact recipes, two are busy potion shops, one is a card game and the rest lean on idle play or free experiments.
We make Harry Magic, so it's first on this list. Judge it like the rest. The other seven come from other developers and nobody paid to be here. We picked games where mixing or brewing is part of the play, and each one was on sale in the US App Store in November 2026.
-
Harry Magic: Potions Class
You're a first-year in a wizard school potions class. Each recipe comes in exact parts, and you pour it by eye with one finger before the minute runs out. Love Potion is 10% Dragon Blood, 30% Mermaid Tears and 60% Nightshade. The first six classes are free, and there are no ads.
-
Mystical Mixing
You drop mystery ingredients into a cauldron, stir, tap with a wand and get a magic pet. The spell book holds the recipes, and the store page lists love potions, rainbow magic and invisibility among its tricks. You also build a village in a mystical forest. Rated 12+.
-
Potion Punch 2
A fast restaurant game with a magic theme. You mix colors to brew potions at the Potion Café, cook with baby dragons and serve heroes through hundreds of levels. Potions are one station among several here, so pick it if you like the rush more than the recipe.
-
Potion Punch
The first game runs closer to the subject. You own a potion shop, mix colors to fill orders across the spectrum and serve elves, dwarves and orcs in seven locations. The store page promises you'll learn some color theory along the way.
-
Miracle Merchant
A solitaire-style card game where you're apprentice to a master alchemist. You combine ingredient cards to brew what each customer wants. A run takes two or three minutes, the deck changes every game and there are 41 potions to collect. English only.
-
Magic Mushrooms - Idle Game
Turn mushrooms into potions to cure the world. This one is an idle game, so you unlock stranger mushrooms and power-ups rather than mix by hand. Pick it if you want progress to tick along while you do something else.
-
Idle Magic Academy
You run a magic academy instead of attending one. Students take classes in casting spells and brewing potions from herbs, and you expand the school and collect ingredients. It keeps earning coins while you're offline.
-
Little Alchemy 2
No cauldron and no recipes to follow. You combine items to discover new ones and slowly build the world from scratch. It's the choice for players who like the mixing and don't want a timer.
Ratings: US App Store, November 2026.
